Friday Night Super Stock Rumble
It's Friday night and the cars of the Tire & Wheel Center UMP Super Stock division at Bloomington Speedway have just finished hot laps and rolled back into the pits. Brad Cummings climbed from his machine and hurried to prepare for his heat race. The week before Cummings lost a spark box and fell out of the feature, slipping to fifth in the points, fifteen behind leader Chris Hillman.
“There's only three nights left and I have to make the three that we've got count now,” he says. “That one hurt, because it was going to be good that night.”

HENDRICK, PETRO, DeMOSS WIN AT BLOOMINGTON SPEEDWAY
YOUNG GUN HOLDS OFF HEAVY HITTERS IN SPRINT FEATURE
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Bloomington Speedway delivered the spectacular show it has become known for as every class of racing lit up the red clay oval on Friday, August 27. The exciting night of racing was highlighted by the Tire and Wheel Center UMP Indiana Super Stock tribute to Boyd “Wheelbar” Koontz feature race that carried an $850 paycheck.
The event featured the Grimes Pools and Spas Sprint Cars, the Tire and Wheel Center UMP Indiana Super Stocks, and the O’Neal Wood Product UMP Modifieds. Jonathan Hendrick won the Grimes Pools and Spas Sprint Car feature race, Randy Petro won the Tire and Wheel Center UMP Indiana Super Stock feature race, and John DeMoss took home the checkered flag in the O’Neal Wood Product UMP Modified feature race. Friday Night Under the Lights: DeMoss and Sterrett
Few experience success in racing at the level that Clint DeMoss is this summer. His record is astounding. Not only has DeMoss won six of the nine UMP modified feature races at Bloomington Speedway, he scored second, third and fourth in the others. Now, with four events remaining in 2010, DeMoss holds a 78 point advantage over Bradley Sterrett.
Friday (July 23) was another brutally hot afternoon as crews unloaded sprint cars, modifieds and street stocks along the pit road. Outside his trailer, parked behind the pit grandstand, Bloomington's Bradley Sterrett was working on his car by himself. In his fifth year racing a modified, the 19-year-old isn't a one-man band, he assured us, even though his is a small team. READ MORE
